The Google Pixel 6 presents a coherent mainstream Android package built around a 6.3-inch pOLED display, Google’s Tensor G4 chipset and Android 16. Its specification is broad rather than narrowly specialised: there is a high-brightness screen, dual rear photography hardware, substantial battery capacity and both wired and wireless charging support.
Display and platform
The display combines 1080 x 2424 resolution with a 60–120Hz refresh-rate range and a quoted 3000-nit peak brightness. That gives the panel technical foundations for fluid motion and substantial brightness headroom, while the pOLED construction defines the screen technology. The refresh-rate range is also relevant to expectations: it spans from 60Hz to 120Hz rather than specifying one fixed operating figure.
Tensor G4 provides the processing platform, supported by 8GB of RAM and Android 16. Those specifications establish a modern software foundation, although they do not by themselves prove particular app, gaming or artificial-intelligence outcomes. The phone is offered in Lavender, Berry, Fog and Obsidian, giving buyers four stated colour choices.
Cameras and power
The rear camera arrangement uses a 48MP main camera with an ƒ/1.7 aperture alongside a 13MP ultrawide camera. Those confirmed roles cover a standard main perspective and a wider field of view, giving the Pixel 6 a useful two-camera structure on paper.
Power hardware is one of the phone’s more substantial areas. The 5100mAh battery is paired with 45W charging and Qi-certified wireless charging. Together, those figures indicate support for more than one charging routine: a specified wired input and a cable-free option. They do not establish endurance or charging times, but they give the device a clear set of power features.
Physical trade-offs
The 183g weight and 9.0mm thickness are important practical characteristics. They are confirmed physical dimensions rather than subjective impressions, and they make the handset’s body profile a clear part of the buying decision. Storage is listed at either 128GB or 256GB, with 256GB the maximum stated capacity, so buyers should choose between those two configurations according to their own needs.
IP68 dust and water resistance adds a defined protection rating to the specification. It is a useful ownership feature, though the rating alone should not be expanded into claims about every possible environment or incident.
